EVVO Sense smart water monitoring
EVVO Sense is a permanently installed smart water-monitoring system for swimming pools, hot tubs and swim spas. It measures pH, ORP and water temperature and provides remote monitoring through the EVVO platform.

Three readings that tell you how the water really is
Together, pH, ORP and temperature show whether the water is balanced, whether the sanitiser is doing its job, and how fast things are likely to change.
pH
Is the water balanced?
Shows whether the water is too acidic or too alkaline. Outside the right range, chlorine works less well and swimmers notice it on eyes and skin.
Typical target 7.2–7.6
ORP
Is the sanitiser working?
Oxidation-reduction potential, in millivolts, shows how actively the water is being sanitised – a more useful signal than the amount of chlorine added.
Typical target 650–750 mV
°C
How fast will it change?
Warm water uses up sanitiser faster and grows algae and bacteria more easily. Temperature puts the other two readings into context.
Shown in °C or °F
From the pipe to the phone
The probe sits in the circulation pipework and measures the water as it flows past. The hub sends the readings over Wi-Fi to the EVVO platform, where the owner sees them in the app and professionals see them on the dashboard.

A digital probe – the difference you can’t see
Most pool and spa monitors use analogue probes: a weak electrical signal travels down the cable to the electronics, picking up noise from pumps, heaters and lights along the way. EVVO Sense converts the measurement to digital data inside the probe itself, before it leaves the water line.
1. Measure
pH and ORP are captured at the probe tip.
2. Convert
The signal becomes digital data inside the probe body.
3. Send
A clean digital signal travels to the hub, with no loss over the cable.
4. Show
Readings, alerts and diagnostics reach the app and dashboard.
Digital vs analogue probes
What changes for the people who install and service the system.
| EVVO digital probe | Typical analogue probe | |
|---|---|---|
| Readings | Stable, processed at the source | Can drift and fluctuate |
| Electrical noise | Designed to be unaffected by pumps, heaters and lights | Susceptible to interference |
| Cable length | No signal loss over distance | Long runs weaken the signal |
| Calibration | Holds calibration longer | Needs more frequent recalibration |
| Fault finding | Self-check and remote diagnostics | Usually needs a site visit |
| Updates | Cloud-connected, updated over the air | Fixed functionality |
Proven in live pilot pools
EVVO Sense has been logging real pool data continuously since July 2026 – not lab demonstrations.
222.0
mV, exactly
An exact match to a certified 222 mV ORP reference solution.
48
real readings a day
A new reading every 30 minutes – each one measured, not averaged or smoothed.
No interference
Pilot pools ran right next to pumps, heaters and salt chlorinators with no signal disruption – exactly where analogue probes usually struggle.
Inline or floating: why it matters
Many smart pool monitors float in the water. EVVO Sense is installed in the circulation system instead – which changes how it is used every day.
| EVVO Sense (inline) | Floating monitor | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it sits | Permanently in the circulation pipework, out of sight | In the pool, among swimmers |
| Power | Low-voltage 5 V hub, powered from the mains – no batteries | Battery that needs charging |
| What it measures | Water flowing through the system | Water around the device |
| Daily handling | None – installed once | Taken out, charged, cleaned |
| Covers and winter | Stays in place | Must be removed |
Installed once, during a normal visit
EVVO Sense retrofits onto almost any existing pool, hot tub or swim spa in about 30 minutes, and suits new builds just as well. A technician installs it during a regular service visit.
- Fit the probe in the pipeworkThe probe mounts in a tee fitting in the circulation line.
- Mount and power the hubWall-mounted near the equipment and powered from the mains through a 5 V supply.
- Connect in the appBluetooth setup in three steps, then onto Wi-Fi – about two minutes.

EVVO Sense questions
What does EVVO Sense measure?
pH, ORP and water temperature, continuously. The readings appear in the EVVO app and, for professionals, on the EVVO dashboard.
Does EVVO Sense need Wi-Fi?
Yes. The hub sends readings over Wi-Fi so they can be seen remotely. Bluetooth is only used for the first setup from the app.
Why does a digital probe matter?
EVVO Sense converts the measurement to digital data inside the probe, so the signal is not disturbed by electrical noise from pumps, heaters or salt chlorinators, does not weaken over long cables and holds its calibration longer than a typical analogue probe.
How often does EVVO Sense take a reading?
A new reading is sent every 30 minutes – 48 a day – and each one is a real measurement, not an average.
Can it go into an existing pool?
Yes. The probe fits into the existing circulation pipework, so EVVO Sense suits existing pools and spas as well as new builds.
Does the probe need calibration?
Like every pH and ORP sensor, the probe needs periodic calibration. In-app calibration is on its way, so owners and dealers will soon be able to calibrate directly from the EVVO app.
Do I need EVVO Clear to use EVVO Sense?
No. EVVO Sense and EVVO Clear are separate product families and work independently. They can also be used together.
